    1 Kb = 1024 bytes
    1 Mb = 1024 Kb
    1 Gb = 1024 Mb
    1 Tb = 1024 (or just 1000?) Mb

    But listen to Garz.

    Why do Research in Motion (RIM) even bother telling us how much space is left in bytes anyway?

    With even the cheapest of devices offering more than a few MBs of memory, almost no one uses bytes anymore, and thus its kinda pointless offering it as measurement on modern devices!

    1Mb = 1,048,576 Bytes

    That is close enough to a million to make round number accurate to a couple percentage points.

    Why does it display in Bytes? That is what the computer sees. The programs could have rounded it off or inserted commas for easy reading.
