I live in Winnipeg

1) It can't find things

I'm looking for the University of Winnipeg - it can't find it
I'm looking for the Duckworth Center, at the University of Winnipeg - it can't find it
I can go on and on - too many things that it cannot find
I have to go on the browser - look up the exact address - 444 Spence street - and then maybe it will find it

I have done this again and again - so many different places - my son's iphone can find the place, everytime. But my blackberry maps, on my Z30, cannot

2) It always wants me to take the absolute shortest route - if I'm on a major street, just leave me on it, PLEASE! Why do you tell me to take every little street, to try to save 2 minutes?
Or give me the option?

It does load very quickly nowadays
I love my blackberry
But the trouble with blackberry maps might make me switch to a Samsung.

1) Look into BeMaps 10 Pro app, it uses Google search engine for points of interest, as well as address search, then use BlackBerry 10 Map app just for turn by turn navigation.

2) BlackBerry 10 app has settings for the routes, you can choose the option for "simplest route" instead of the shortest route possible.

BlackBerry 10, has the worst nav map system ever. I've missed turns, cause it's slow to keep up
