It is super loud - we will probably never be able to mute it, but I would like to tame it a little.

    Can't it be an option?

Hi, go into Language, then feedback and from there you can adjust the volume.

You realize you should probably not put your entire post in the title?
And it's configurable. Why don't you even search?

I searched and search. Yeah didn't mean to do that. In language and feedback the volume is for keyboard not phone keypress.

As already stated elsewhere, at the moment the only way to silence these sounds would be by selecting silent mode or vibration only. Since this seems to be rather new to 10.3.1 and I can't recall this happened in previous versions.
Se as of now we have to wait for a fix.

Yup, putting your phone into silent does the job.

I have no idea if this works.

Actually you can silence dial pad sound. Follow these steps:
    Go into settings -
    Notifications -
Press Add at the bottom of the screen (name your new profile whatever you want)

    Attachment 343391

Then activate and choose your new profile then turn off Sound

    Attachment 343388

Then press Customise App Notifications -
Go into each app and turn on sound -
Turn on Override Profile Volume and choose how loud you want it to be.

    Attachment 343389

After that you're done. No more dialling sound, no more Keyboard feedback sound..

Just more of the convoluted nature of bb10... And how it's just weird complicated flow menus and where they put stuff... Good thread though in finding something useful.

I did what was suggested. Made a profile with sound off, then went into individual apps and turned sound on. This works. Thank you so much!
