So I just got my BB Curve two weeks ago and I've tried the Voice Dialing and I speak GOOD clear English peeps and I'm just not impressed. I LOVE the phone but this is the one thing that does not work for me. It's fine on the numbers but I wish the name recognition was better

I like the voice dialing. Rarely do I have a problem with the BB not recognizing my commands. And with all the talking I do while driving, not having to pick up the phone and dial is such a convenience for me.

Love it! I use it all the time. You might want to check and make sure your voive is coming across clearly on other calls. Perhaps there is something wrong with your microphone. I have never had it not recognize what I have said.

This ppost made me try it for the first time.

I have game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final blaring in the background and it still heard me, from about 2 feet away. It dialed the number I asked for.

I deleted this option from my Berry. I have no use for it, since I rarely use my device as a phone in the first place, and pushing one button to call any of my hotlist of contacts is way easier for me.

I only use it on the rare occasion that I am using my Bluetooh headset, but even in those few times, I am iffy on it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It has more or less become something I only use when I am driving, Bluetooth on, phone in the holster on my belt and I can't easily get it out because the seat belt is blocking it or something.

Not sure why, but it was totally useless for me when I had the 8300 - no matter how I tweaked the options, it never recognized anything. On my 8330, it's totally different and works every time - although sometimes a little slow.

I'm just not in the habit of using it since dialing from the phone screen is just as easy or even easier.

voice dialing was fun to play with when it first came out, i just dont think its effective
usually i dial with the speed dial keys (holding the M button calls mom for example) or with my call log...

I Love it. I also use goog 411 with my phone (also a voice command). I am scared that I am becoming to lazy to dial. What else will I be too lazy to do soon.
