Came across this while browsing an Internet forum. I thought BlackBerry stopped advertising to consumers, apparently not. Looks like BlackBerry does advertise after all-img_20150831_035703.png

That's great, but here in Michigan we haven't seen any sort of advertising what so ever for the brand.

Even in the T Mobile store who is welcoming the brand back, there isn't even a device on display. And for all you positive thinkers out there, this is not being negative, this is reality.

That's unfortunately probably it. I see the ads too but I'm sure it's because of the articles I read and visiting crackberry daily. I get ads for a lot of different phones.

I just got a nice BlackBerry Ad on YouTube featuring a confident BusinessWoman working wide and soaring to great heights with the original Passport!

Very likely as I see a lot because I search a lot on BlackBerry.

These are targeted ads, use 'Ghostery' or some other browser plugin on your computers...

But then you won't see these 'nice'  ads...

I don't consider an ad online that you can skip advertising. Nobody watches those things if they can skip them.

Internet targeted marketing is actually pretty cheap. But it should be one part of a marketing campaign for a company in this market, not their whole budget. But I imagine that BlackBerry's only keyword is BlackBerry.

I haven't seen any of these... but then I use ad blockers and don't allow cookies to be saved....

In all fairness, you can do the same with a DVR and television ads.

That can be mitigated by doing things like NFL games and other sporting events that people watch live. Online I hit skip always. If no skip I'll throw it to background or work on something else.

A marketing effort, yeah, but...is there truly no money to put up a GIANT BANNER in a sport game or something? In magazine and newspapers--heck, TVs? Who the heck watch online ads these days? Put them on retails, for xxx sake! That's the most important! I find this EXTREMELY HARD to believe. Grrrr...!

BlackBerry DO sponsor the leading Formula 1 team (Mercedes) so they get a lot of (non-US) coverage from that.

I guess BB is only doing targeted ads, also offline. In Hong Kong, there is (was in April / May) a big banner advertising the Porsche Design Q10 at the Star Ferry Terminal, next to the expensive Harbour City Mall.

    Truth.

I haven't seen any BlackBerry advertising in a very long time which is weird because they're still bringing out new phones.

It's based on your Internet habits. I see them too. Leap ads everywhere.

It really does no good though. They don't need to convince me to buy BlackBerry.

Everytime I see Mercedes zoom past, or on the podium, I hope that BlackBerry see's their logo like the rest of the world. This kind of marketing proves they are still around and relevant!
