    Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade from my BB 8520 curve. What's the best BB out now?
I'm not into just touchscreen phones only but wouldn't mind if the phone had both keyboard and touch screen.
The BB torch 9800 caught my eye. Is it any good or is it pass ?

    Thanks
    Shaz

If you want to stay with the legacy system I would say the torch 9810, or 9900.

Both have the same internal specs but screen size and keyboard is the difference.

The 9800 looks very similar to the 9810 but the internals are slow as balls. I wouldn't recommend the 9800 because of this reason.

Pity about the above because I thought the phone looked funky, just if its slow it will drive me nuts.

Iam back to using my 9810 from the 9900 and it working just great! I had the 9800 before the 9810 and the9810 is worlds better and faster to use. The BBOS phones still offer a lot of value , I have no intention of upgrading to the Z10 or Q10 yet. The OS 10 does not offer enough yet , I want to see a whole lot of improvements before I upgrade

Well the 9800 and the 9810 actually look very, very similar. If you have both devices in front of you, with displays turned off, you'd have a rather hard time telling which is which. So you don't need to worry about the looks.

As for the new Blackberry 10 devices:
The Z10 is the full touch model without a physical keyboard. The Q10 is the one which comes with a full, physical QWERTY keyboard, basicly a new Bold model.
However BB10 in general is very touch oriented, unlike the older legacy OS. You'll also won't get a trackpad/trackball to navigate around. You're forced to use the touchscreen on the new devices.
