instead of kissing Android's @$$ since Lenovo is also making cool smartphones and they align themselves as a "Business PC maker" I don't know for me it would be the best time for them to talk about it.
What will Blackberry benefit from it? I guess they will increase more on the market share in China (which has 0.97) of Market share.
What will Lenovo Benefit from it? Instead of haggling an Android OS, they also struggle in emerging markets. my best bet if they have a secure mobile platform it could be a match made in heaven.

When Lenovo brought the IBM PC business, they made it more than an Icon.

Bad Part : imagine seeing a Blackberry Logo on a Lenovo phone. hehehe but it will subsidize Manufacturing cost because Lenovo has a wide range of manufacturing plant in China. that's what Keeping Blackberry handsets very expensive

Best Part : We might see Blackberry 10 or QNX on a x86 Laptop or Tablet. with Lenovo's expertise in hardware it might have good choice (RE: BB Playbook nightmares)

Everyone wants BBRY to license the OS; but there is currently no incentive for any OEM to license BB10. Sony and Lenovo's names have been tossed out dozens of times on Crackberry but starting the rumor doesn't make a deal any more likely to materialize.

I think Thornton answered this one very well today. BLACKBERRY is always open to partnering with others. Certainly BlackBerry needs to show its value to attract the best kind of offer. The next few quarters will reveal how well that plan is enacted.

I doubt the wisdom of partnering with Lenovo since it is not a company that is doing well. It would be better to partner with a company with plenty of resources to invest in a deal.

Other than BB10 there are three other Mobile OS coming this year. Having a new mobile Os means very little today... having a successful platform is what a "partner" would be looking for.

wouldnt work.

want android? oh what type? theyre all so different it works.

besides at the moment its clear not many people want to use bb10. licencing is not an option.

its actually respectable that BB are one of few that both manufacture their own hardware and software
