They didn't break that down...with the deals they offered on all the os 10 phones I'm guessing it is heavily os 10 (I don't know)

The ratio wasn't given this time, but BB10 pulled into the lead 2 quarters ago, and despite the small run of 9900s (more-or-less to retain a few big enterprise customers until the Classic was ready), the majority of BBOS phone inventory was depleted, so there was simply nothing left to sell. BB10 thus won the ratio by default.

That's not an opinion. It seems like facts to me.

Also Chen said he ran out of legacy devices to sell.

That's wrong, some carriers still sell Legacy devices in UK.

$399 is a joke of a price for that phone. $199 at best.

I doubt the Classic is going to change businesses' decisions to stick with or leave Blackberry.

It's hilarious to think the obstacle to switching from BB OS7 to BB10 was as simple as a keyboard or toolbelt. There are likely many underlying OS support issues, such as custom software, that keep corporations on BB OS7.

Perhaps BES12 may bring in additional businesses to the BB10 ecosystem by addressing some corporations' needs to support BB10 in addition to their BB OS7 devices, though.

Are BB10 sales growing at all or are BB7 sales just dropping?

BB10 will continue to grow while BB7 will die out eventually.

Oh man, now you're asking a tough question.

It's very very very hard to say as Blackberry never released actual sell in figures for Blackberry 10 devices for the previous year.

For certain, BB7 sales are dropping. If BB10 sales are increasing then it's not by much at all. Not significant. And in a market that is 25% plus every year, Blackberry 10 is not growing at all really.

So far this year shipments are at 3.82m between March 1st 2014 and November 30th 2014. Sell through for March 1st 2013 to Feb 28th 2014 was 5.00m. Using this sell through number and prediction number we can estimate that anywhere between 5.1m and 6.9m BB10 units were sold in to the channel during FY2013/14. So this means that based on prediction model, BB10 devices will sell in the same amount this year that it sold through to end customers last year. If that prediction comes correct then potentially it means that BB10 device sales are down YOY ever so slightly.

That's what I'm asking though, is it growing or staying level? There's absolutely no doubt BB7 will die out eventually.

Well. I'm not sure anyone at Blackberry has given us that answer. It will be interesting to see how well the Classic sells though.

Thanks, so basically not growing at all, even after the Z3, Z30 and the Passport were added to the list.

All they have to do is turn a profit for now. There is time to grow numbers.

They're ily turning profit because of cuts and I don't think there's anything left to cut. Only 50% of revenue was hardware.

I understand but with what they've been through it is going to take time. Compared to this time last year they are in a much better position.
