Legacy OS Appreciation Thread
With all the complaining about our old BBs and the hype around QNX, it's easy to forget that the legacy OS had many likeable features despite its flaws.
let's all post our favourite things about the old OS!
I loved the BB button. I hate the idea of long pressing to bring up a menu and it is a hassle-free way to see the options for something.
now you!

I remember what a great day it was when I upgraded my OS for the first time and got my camera to record video - back when an OS upgrade actually installed new stuff one could use.

I thought about starting a thread like this too. Time to pay tribute and homage to the devices that got us to this point and then the long walk through the desert to BB10. My 9800 has been great. Done virtually everything I've needed and has taken all my abuse. In US I have to wait to replace it so I will take the time to appreciate it.

My OS7 BB 9930 has done well to keep my satisfied during this waiting period. Hopefully the corporate big brother here keeps BB on board, and it will be updated to a Q10 later this year

I got the 9800 shortly before OS7 came out and I was disappointed the device was not compatible. I would have liked to experiencing OS7.

Re: Legacy OS Appreciation Thread
As much as I love the track pad on my 9900 (and I really, really do), I think the track wheel on my 7250 was prime. It worked so well and was so natural... let's forget about the track ball though.

Knew that, but it only works in the native email, not Bridge where I spend most of my time on the PB. Also, you have to swipe and choose 'Select' before you can highlight the messages, something that is not needed in OS 7.1 and I have to say, as minor as the steps are, they disrupt the 'Flow' of pruning your email folder.
Miss the touch select & mass delete in one smooth operation.

Battery life, email, love, love, love bbm, and the way it just seems to work all the time.
OS6 - and have just begun to have to do daily battery pulls, which makes me sad, but it has for sure been a workhorse for me and doesn't owe me anything.Power corrupts. Knowledge is power.
