Just curious as to how many people leave the GPS on at all times. Battery drain, or does it only consume battery when it is being called upon (weather app, map applications, etc.)M

i leave my GPS on, and have not noticed a significant change in battery life at all. since i do not have any apps always running to pull this info, it will not drain battery.

I leave mine on E911, not because of battery drain because GPS shouldn't effect that, it's just a personal preference

Mine is on "Location On" all the time. I have a couple of apps that use it through out the day like beweather and simpletrax(keeps tract of where my berry is in case I loose it or it is borrowed without permission). I have an extended battery not because of GPS but poor signal in my area. I don't find that GPS is all that hard on the battery life.

I haven't noticed a difference in mine either. I use my phone all day consistently and I have the "location on" just for berry weather. It doesn't really affect my battery life.

I thought I was having a battery issue leaving gps on, but not sure. I prefer to enable it as needed tho, don't use it for be weather. There is a slick toggle feature on Q/L for toggling gps on/off. I have not found a way to get it to toggle on os 6 tho. I use it when I'm running on os5.
