look in the Bold 9650 forum. Lots of opinions of course but most people are loving it. I had the 8330 and it's way better than I expected even.

The newest Verizon BlackBerry would be the 9650.

As for if its good, personally I'd say yes. Check out Adam's review here (http://crackberry.com/verizon-blackb...ld-9650-review) and then head to the store if it sounds like something your interested in. Thats the best way to know, get some hands on time with it.

    The 9650 is a great upgrade to your 8330. I've gone from 8330 > 9530 > 9550 > 9630 > 9650. Go to a VZW store and play with one for a bit.

Get the 9700 its a lot better.
The OP is on VZW, so 9700 isn't relevant.

9700 is probably not an option for them, as they have Verizon, as CDMA carrier so it's the 9650, OR 9550 if they want to go touch.

UNLESS they want to change carriers, then the 9700 becomes an option and perhaps in the near future the 9100/9105??? (if ATT &/or Tmobile decide to offer it)

EDIT: A lot better is an over statement. It DOES have a better main processor thou, BUT it has less app memory (so less 6.0 ready!!!), and does not have OpenGL support, so in some ways the 9650 is better, BUT over all many do feel the 9700 over all IS the better device. Really tough to compare because they are different network technologies GSM vrs CDMA so it's sorta moot to compare them. CDMA users can NOT get the 9700, and GSM users while they CAN use a 9650, using it on a GSM network cripples it's data speed. (you don't get 3G)

Well, you're right, its only better by 50 so its not considered a lot.

Seriously, as pk said, it is really a matter of which carrier is better for you. I think they are both great phones and one is not better than the other. Personally I prefer hspa over cdma so I will always choose the best phone on the hspa network. For others it's the opposite. I say whatever phone makes you happy, is the best one!

Choose the carrier first, then the phone.
