Just won 4 PlayBooks and a 9900!!!
Just had to come and shout it from the rooftops...I've been tweeting about BlackBerry for a good 3 months, and looks like someone at RIM noticed. I got an email today that literally made me cry...tears of joy.
Talk about RIM empowering your success. Thanks THOR, thanks RIM, but most importantly, thanks to CrackBerry, I wouldn't love BlackBerry as much without you.Hi Mikel,
Sarah here, on behalf of BlackBerry. We are so excited you want to learn more about app development in order to create tools that will help educators! We couldn’t be happier that you will be attending BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour as well!
As you know, being #Bold is important to us at BlackBerry. We’d like to thank you for being #Bold and for being a part of #TeamBlackBerry by sending you a little something to help you and your school! The package will include a BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 and a BlackBerry PlayBook for personal use, a new backpack to carry your gear in and 3 BlackBerry PlayBook devices for ****** High School.
If you’re willing to let us help in this way, please read and sign the attached waiver and we’ll go from there. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon, thanks again for being a part of #TeamBlackBerry!
Best,
Sarah

Good Show Mikel!!! A hearty congrats.
A reluctant iPhone 4s user who would STILL be a Blackberry user had RIM not messed it's own bed by putting a "Fisher Price Camera" in it's "flagship" Blackberry Bold 9930. - 05-29-2012, 11:47 AM #9
THAT is freaking awesome man!

Lucky! I need a new phone so bad

Congrats to you, but what jumps out at me is that RIM is obviously aware of what's going on with regular people. There has been much criticism in the past, but RIM has been making many moves recently that shows that they're not the 'out of touch' company that people have accused them of being in the past.
You're obviously happy about the swag. But RIM is obviously happy to have someone who is vocal and has the talent to do something important. Aside from the swag, be sure to check in at the Blackberry Developer forums where you'll find some other amazing people willing to help you out with any questions you might have.Why is it that when your contract commitment is up, the phone you always wanted is now old and the phone you now want won't be out until the next quarter?
Curve 8330 4.5.0.131 -> Bold 9650 6.0.0.706 Plus not one but two totally awesome kickin' Playbooks - 05-29-2012, 09:55 PM #19
Congratulations! It's great to see RIM support its loyal customers, and helping out a school as well. I noticed you're in California, I've read all about the things they do here in Canada, it's nice to know they help educators in other countries as well!

Trust me, if i didnt need one my self, i'd be the first to pass it along to some one in need...whats funny is that i just got an insurance replacement in the mail last week. Now my trusty Torch 9800 is going to my wife's brother in law who has a old 8900 curve that is barely hanging together by some rubber and a thread.

Man that's awesome!
I've been tweeting at US Cellular to get the 9930 and all I ever get from them is "Have you checked out our lineup of Android devices?"
