They seem really similar. Anyone used both and know the difference?
Since they use data plan, they do not use your texts. Does that count for incoming messages as well? Also, can you use PIN messeges on either?

Go with jive talk. It's better
There's a thread on a problem with IM+...apparently it will occasionally nuke a Berry randomly. Haven't tried Jivetalk.
Jivetalk all the way. Best app I've ever used!

The user interface is also way better on jivetalk.

wow, so far only one vote for IM+...keep the votes coming. also , if i could get a few answers to some of those questions that would be great too! lol
Jivetalk is awesome, too bad it isn't free. I really enjoyed my trial though :D
Do you not feel that the cost is reasonable for a quality program?
Can't say anything for IM+ other than it's **** expensive and now they lowered their prices...Ha I've been using JiveTalk and I love it since it's data usage both ways free after you buy the application.
I like free, but do not mind paying a fee for unlimited chatting. And if its incoming chat too than thats even better.
Once my trial is up I am purchasing jivetalk. I have used im+ and the interface isn't as good. Plus if your a Mac user jivetalk will remind you pa ichat in look.

agreed! not only for the the program but to up keep their server.
I do feel that a quality program is worth spending money on, however, it is just as easy for me to utilize the extra money I pay for unlimited text messaging as the people I usually text are the same people I chat with on AIM... personal opinion.
To re-clarify for those like sunkast who might be confused by the motive of my post, Jivetalk > IM+. If you love chatting with people on your phone, I would buy Jivetalk before I would buy IM+ as I have tried them both.

I've tried both and went with JiveTalk. It was much easier to work with (for me).
I've used both and I prefer JiveTalk.
JiveTalk all the way. I like the fact that it's stable and it doesn't eat the battery up at all.
Go with JiveTalk...Well worth the $$$$
i agree with the jivetalk votes, to the person who said they're going to wait until the trial is over before purchasing it, there's no need! the license is permanent for the device, not yearly. i used it for 20 minutes and bought a multi-device license immediately.
For the love of god, pick Jivetalk!!
I used both and JT just seemed more intuitive. Plus, I know it's not always a top priority, but the UI was much prettier than IM+. It makes people look twice at my phone when I'm using it in public.
I would go for Jivetalk it's a pretty smooth operator.
