I was going through a blog and I scrolling down a page something stood out to me.
Lil' Wayne was using a BB10...He was using a Z10!Like him or not, he has good taste in phone . He probably wants the best security so his album (carter 5) doesn't leak
I was so suprised to say the least. A month ago Fabolous (Famous rapper) posted a picture of his golden Q10 and J.Cole was Spotted with a Q10 on the road. Ace Hood (another famous rapper,)posted a screen shot of one of his email on Instagram (11 weeks ago.) and Booom It's a BB10 interface!

Rappers have been known to use BlackBerry for writing their music. Just ask Drake. I believe Drake would be the reason for Lil Wayne to use a BlackBerry.

BlackBerry needs to capitalize on hip hop in general. A lot of rappers, engineers, producers, etc use bb's. I'm not saying that's there only device but when you need to get some shyt done??? You grab a berry..

A lot of large multinationals employ celebrities with criminal records and felonies. Doesn't seem to hurt them.

I used to be a video producer (low-to-mid level), and some of the bigger things I handled were music videos. For rappers, it was the norm to lease expensive cars, expensive houses, and expensive (or fake) jewelry for the day, that the rappers (at least at the time) could never hope to afford, to raise their image and help make them seem legit. Like most media, it was simply "production" - creating an image on camera that doesn't exist in real life.

These same "stars" were often living on less than $100 a day. I'm not suggesting that's true from Lil Wayne, but his money has to come from touring, because record companies pay quite little to artists, even best-selling artists (well under $1/album is the norm), which rarely covers the recording costs (which are billed to the artist). Today's music artists get their money from their percentage of concert ticket sales and merchandising at concerts, and most rappers spend that money on cars and "bling" and have little to show for it when their career is over (3 years on average).

The music industry is BRUTAL.
