    I just came across this Kickstarter product (which is actually kind of cool IMO), and noticed something kind of familiar. If you take a look at the picture below, check out how the keys have ridges on them, which exactly mimic the keyboard on my 9930. I'm just wondering if RIM has a patent on this feature/design or not.

    Motorola won the rights to use the "keyboard designed for thumbs" design (patent owned by RIM) years ago. So no surprise there when you see it on a Moto device.

    The keyboard above probably skirts the patent as it's not actually a part of the mobile device itself.
