The way Samsung is pumping out devices anything current is probably old really fast. I would consider something after SGSIII but not the SGSIII. Apple's phones are great and near the top in regards to what users want but I cannot see the 6th version of the Iphone being much better or ground breaking the its 5th (4S) so I would wait a while before buying back into iOS.
If BB 10 is close to what we anticipate I will switch out my BB 9900 Christmas 2013. I will never go to the dark side (apple). Android is gaining ground fast though.
I can say I will never own an ipood, I mean iphone. Android is tempting, but with all the malware that is floating around google play, that's a no, so ill be waiting for BB10 or WP8.
Gaining ground??? In 1st quarter 2012, 59% of smartphone sales were Android. They've not only gained the ground, they're lapping everybody else around the track, twice.

As of now I wouldn't even consider a Galaxy S3 anymore. The latest Android version is already available but the S3 still ships with 4.0. Though they announced an update, when will it come? Also the next Android version should hit within the next 7 months roughly. Considering the fact most devices on Android only recieve one major update - why bother with the S3? For me, Android is waaaaaay too fast paced. You'll end up spending 500-600 $$$ for a device which feels outdated within a couple of months. It especially sucks when you buy the latest and greatest flagship but phones that are older (Nexus) get the new Android first.
As for the iPhone5 I can't comment - it ain't out yet and nobody knows something about it. But I doubt I'd get it, I wasn't too excited about all the previous iPhones, so why now?
Last but not least BB10. It is far too early to say how decent it will be. BB10 has a rough environment to compete and I don't expect any wonders. If RIM (or MS with WP8) can't break either the app crazyness or hardware battle, things won't look good.
I am sure next year I will see a RIM having a 15-20 per cent market share, a great ecosystem full of apps, games, and developers as well as lots of happy BB10 users. Bb10 is amazing. It will rock!
Either BlackBerry 10 or a Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8. Now if the Nokia will have the PureView camera, that'll make my decision even harder. Does anyone know if BlackBerry 10 willsupport Bridge for the PlayBook?
Definitely planning on upgrading to BB10 when I can. Never have been interested in iPhone (my wife is thinking she wants something different for her next phone). If there were no BB10, then I could adjust to an Android, and SG3 would be a likely consideration.
