So I'm from Russia but I'm on vacation in the US and I just wanted to know if I bought a Blackberry from the US will I be able to use it back in Russia with a Sim card from my carrier? In other words if I bought a blackberry from Verizon will I be able to put in my sim card and use it?
1: The BlackBerry you buy must be compatible with your countries network
2: Verizon BlackBerry's are CDMA, they don't take SIM cards
3: you WILL need to get the BlackBerry unlocked
After that yes you can buy in the USA

Ok so I can buy a Blackberry smartphone from AT&T and I'll be able to use it in my home country with a foreign carrier sim card with no problems? I just have to make sure that the Blackberry is unlocked. Right?

Russia uses
GSM 900/1800 frequencies
The Bold 9900 uses
850, 900, 1800, 1900
so once you unlock the 9900 or another GSM based BlackBerry and drop your SIM card in it it will work,
Yes, just unlock it and use any of the carriers in Russia such as MTC and Beeline.. used my unlocked blackberry bold 9780 in Russia once when I've visited there.

Correct.
I have purchased my 9530, 9800 and HTC Inspire from the USA and after unlocking I am able to use my country's SIM. (Bermuda)
