I travel internationally for a living and am sick and tired of being hammered on roaming charges- I have fixed the call issue by buying a local sim when i arrive in a coutry and using it the trusty old curve as a spare but I got hammered last week with Blackberry roaming charges of over $200 for a weeks emails! I use a managed exchange- anyone got any clever solutions please??

Turn off data roaming under the mobile network options, and use wi-fi whenever you can (go to mcdonalds or starbucks and leech off of their free wi-fi)

Everytime u send or receive an email there is a data transfer occuring in between. That's what the charges are for and yes it becomes VERY expensive at the end so I agree with Culex316's suggestion and would go with that next time if I were in your shoes.
