This "Instagram like" feature on BB10.

I was just over at n4bb and they've posted pictures of the "Instagram like" feature that's coming to BB10.
While I'm looking forward to using that feature, I can't help but think it really looks identical to Instagram. Does this mean Instagram is being baked in BB10 or we're not gonna see Instagram on BB10 at all?

After finding Evernote is baked in to the OS, I think it's a valid question. U almost have to wonder, if Instagram is coming to BB10, what's the point of this native app?. Who knows...

but its not the social network aspect that makes instagram what it is. i can use filters with the default camera app in android also. Its "baked in" but then i still have to rely on twitter or facebook to distribute it.

Instagram is more than just filters. There are a lot of apps out there that already do that. It's a standalone mobile social network that can also integrate with other networks.

People who keep talking about how filters make something "Instagram like" obviously have no idea what the lure of Instagram is. It's almost like saying that because you can add "friends" on Crackberry, it's "Facebook like."

One thing that will make the native photo and video editors on BB 10 more social and competitive with services like instagram is I am absolutely sure that the first party apps will have deep integration with BBM. They will also make it very easy to share your photos and videos created with these great new apps super easy to share on any social network you use.

Instagram would be great, but really solid native apps built into the OS that have deep BBM integration and easy sharing options with all the major social networks is arguably even better.

Sometimes certain sites need to resort to making up "news" because no reliable sources trust them to break real news.

It's a whole piece based on incorrect assumptions where they've had to post an errata. Since the source pics were not in fact accurate as described, I personally would describe the whole article as flawed and not based on fact.
