grrr im attempting to remember the computer based software i was using to organize inventory while managing tmobile, We used a scanner gone and just scanned the imeis from the boxes or phone and it would input them to the database. gggrrrrr ill think on it and email a buddy still working with them to figure out what it was called.
Almost any regular barcode scanner/gun should handle it. The code will be one of the common ones used for stock control, and most of the scanners operate as a regular input device to PC software.
Software should be pretty much whatever you want to use for inventory control. Anything from a simple spreadsheet, up to a custom front end driving a SQL database, and every bell and whistle ever invented.
(Why does almost everyone try to use a spreadsheet to make a database?)
