I don't understand why when I read an email on my phone it is marked as read on gmail. When I read an item on gmail it is not marked as read on my berry. On that same subject, messages deleted on gmail are not deleted on my berry. I have my berry setup with imap and gmail as well. Once I delete or read a message in one medium I don't want to duplicate that with time that I don't have.

There is no two way sync, its a pain. You're only solution is to use gmail app instead of BIS

How do they claim to support IMAP? The gmail app has its pluses, but speed is not one of them.

I guess one way sync is considered IMAP in their eyes? But yeah I agree with you. For how much BIS is hailed as king of email, it lacks some crucial functionalities.
