How old is your brother? If he's over the age of 5 then you have a problem, because what he did is really childish. You should tell him when he has a problem that he should learn to solve it like a grown up. Grown ups don't throw 600 dollar pieces of equipment down hallways, they talk about their problems, usually. I am very sorry for your loss, if he was my brother he would be missing a few valuable pieces of his "equipment". If worse comes to worse you can always just get a new screen which is considerably less than getting a whole new phone like some of the other users have suggested.
