Now I've loved and still love BlackBerry 10 and even os7 at the time and I have no plans to jump ship. But I don't know what's with my Q10 lately it hasn't stopped with problems over the last month or so.

    - Flashlight won't work (no flash in photos as well)
    - can't preview photos in camera mode
    - can't delete photos (sometimes)
    -nfc doesn't work
    - occasionally reboots

I'm just really annoyed with the amount of problems that has happened. And warranty has expired so it won't be covered.

You could reflash it, might work.

Your flashlight could also be broken.

What have you done to it lately? Leak OS? Have you tried a Hard reset?

Have you reload the OS? Also download BlackBerry virtual expert and run it if you haven't. It is in BlackBerry world.
    Sorry to hear your situation

Tried rebooting, downloaded bbve to confirm everything, haven't done anything to it lately, no leaked os only use official ones, so I have no idea.

Did the flash work using bbve?

If you encounter software issues sometimes it's best to do a security wipe and not do a recovery... usually fixes all problems.

    For reboots, read around

Is your camera set to hdr? Is flash set to auto or on? Hdr will not have flash.

My trite advice for phone users is to back up your phone using Link when it is working well and reinstall the backup when you need it.

First I would do a reset. Then if that doesn't work back up with link and restore os.

Try a hard reset (hold-down on both volume keys until the blue loading circle appears), then -- after the home screen appears -- let it settle for about 3 minutes.

This won't solve any hardware problems though.

How long until you can upgrade? I agree it's not Blackberrys fault, just a broken device

Never said it was BlackBerry's fault in fact it's only been like this the last couple of months the rest of my time it's worked perfectly. And I can't upgrade till at least may 2015

Sounds like the device is defective (I know, stating the obv). Your experience truthfully isn't indicative of the brand. If you can afford a new (or used) device, try a replacement....I think you'll find it worth it!
I assume that mtaylor is suggesting that you purchase another Q10. I would not do that. I would wait for the Classic, if for no other reason that after the Classic comes out the Q10 will be dropping in price. Secondly, the Classic should have fixed the battery reboot issue and the double typing problem ( that many have experienced).

You should clean your battery contacts and try some of those paper/card suggestions on the battery reboot issue. I would also reinstall the OS completely. In sounds like you can limp along until next May.

    1. I would suggest getting a replacement phone made by Blackberry, of the model of your choosing. As money appears to be a concern here, I would not recommend holding out for the Classic as it will not be found at steeper than a 25% discount to in-store price, for the first 6 months of release (#'s are my best guess/judgement, they are opinion, not fact)
    2. Based on your list of complaints, broken features, frequent reboots and no solution despite numerous attempts to fix, my advice would be not to limp along. Get another phone now. If you stick with this one, you'll hate the phone, you'll be less productive, you'll grow to hate the Blackberry brand even more, you'll be a miserable person with a crippled device (and I wouldn't blame you for it). We all eat right, exercise, take care of ourselves, don't walk in traffic...I don't support keeping a crippled phone as part of a daily routine. Too much frustration.
This comment was amusing to me but ya I actually this I do wanna get the classic. But imma see if there's anything I can do to get this fixed and not put a dent in my wallet.

I actually had the same exact problems after some time of running 10.2 and then I fresh installed 10.3 leak and everything works again. So I suggest you try that or better yet try the latest leak

Had an SD card issue with my 9930 a couple years ago. The SD card was causing some type of issue that I can't remember at the moment. It wasn't a memory problem though. It was a strange software problem that could only be solved, at the time, with removing the SD card.
