Z30. Cheap. Beautifully built. Long lasting battery, gets all the OS 10 updates to date.

More functional than the Z10 with all the little extra things like Miracast, USB on the Go,etc.

They may not be things you use but hey, the phones cheap and if you like to tinker it gives you lots to choose from.

Plus largest screen means largest on screen keyboard.

    I'm 70 and have two Z30 s and a Z10. Used to have a Q10 and 9000.
My choice would be a Z30 for starters. It is very cheap for a very good phone. Big screen, great battery life, excellent keyboard.
Once you decide you like BB10, (you will), then you can upgrade. If you like a keyboard maybe a Passport. But, personally, I'm really happy with the Z30.
The only things I don't like about the Z10 are the battery and speaker. Otherwise, it's a fun little phone. I keep it in my car for emergencies.
The Priv is looking interesting - maybe next year!

    Definitely the Z30 or Passport.

The Z10 is so slow, battery life sucks and screen is tiny compared to the other 2.

Well, as far as I can tell, the OP has not returned. He failed to say where he/or she was from, which carrier he has and whether he prefers a physical keyboard or a virtual keyboard. All of which makes a huge difference in phone choice.

Whatever the OP will pick, it will be a great phone worth the money.

Based on what you're saying the Z30 is what you're looking for.

It's got great sound. Nice big 16x9 screen for playing solitaire on.

Just be aware you're getting a phone with an OS that won't be developed anymore. That includes even basic apps like Facebook and Twitter which doesn't seem to apply for you. Facebook is a cesspool anyway.

You can use a lot of things on your browser though without apps. If you're going into it with eyes wide open about the future of BB10 then I'd say go for the Z30.

There are no more good sports apps. If you don't mind delays, battery drain, and lack of full functionality, you can try some Android ones. Also, I don't know of many good news apps. USA Today is OK but doesn't support sports scores anymore.

That being said, Q10 is great in terms of keyboard and size.
