Yes, I know T-Mobile has free streaming now but I still want to know because I want to switch to their $30 plan and IDK if free streaming is included in that, so before I switch I want to know.

So, yeah, how much does iHR use on T-Mobile.
    Please and thank you .

The only plans listed as eligible for unlimited music are the Simple plans.

T-Mobile Un-carrier 6.0 is all about the music, including streaming that doesn't count against your data allowance TmoNews

Music Freedom applies to Simple Choice customers
$30 prepaid plan is not a Simple Choice plan.

As much as any other platform. It wouldn't be any different because there's no BIS-type compression. A stream that's 128kbps will consume roughly 60mb per hour. And that's not counting for album art, etc. downloads.

According to some it depends on the carrier too. I want to know cause I don't listen to music that much. Just commute to work, a little after work and every now and then on weekends. So, the 5GB the $30 plan comes with might be enough, plus, it comes with unlimited 2/3G, but I don't just use iHR.

Well, if anyone knows how to monitor how much data usage an app uses, I can test iHeartRadio on my T-Mobile Q10...

If nobody comes up with a better answer, there's always the #932# short code. Not sure how real time that is, though.

Good idea, but I have a Simple Choice plan, so no data used for iHeartRadio.

OP why don't you calculate how much data you use now on your current phone so you can estimate if you will be within the limits?
