This should be a poll. Would be easier and better response.
Having said that .... Android. I've had a Windows phone, my daughter has a iPhone ... I've used other people's Androids. I like android better than the other alternatives. BUT, until RIM rolls over and plays dead, I'll keep buying BB.

Would not consider android and apple. So it would be Windows. Or I get a private personal assistant.

If RIM fails, I'll continue to use my 9930 until it quits working. If there is nothing that is catching my eye on the market then I'll switch back to my 9630 until that quits working.
This is of course if there isn't a major change in technology where they simply won't work anymore (like bag phones!
)
I've used Android and iOS phones, and I just didn't care for them. They had neat features and good hardware specs, but I can't put my finger on why I didn't like them. I'm happy and content with my BB's as long as they continue to work for me. - 04-16-2012, 04:18 PM #1151994 Nokia 2110,

Well, if the beautiful webOS has been revamped, then I'd totally be there ... Otherwise, probably a Windows phone ...
However, that is only until I would not be able to get replacement parts for my BB ... Which would be years and years after ... BUT ... Blackberry/RIM will not falter ...My Tech Fleet: (Ranked)

Can't wait until I can replace my iOS with BB10!!!! - 04-16-2012, 11:28 PM #118
*sigh* another one....
i would stay with BB. if that day ever came and RIM declared Chapter-11 id run out and buy at least two more BBs. Ya there'd be no more support but the phone would still work. i would keep that up for as long as i could. after that i have no clue.Last edited by JAGWIRE; 04-16-2012 at 11:33 PM.

I'd probably end up with Windows Phone or maybe even iOS. I'm already pretty impressed by the Lumia 900, but I'm buying a Bold 9900 instead because I like the smaller form factor. When my contract ends and if I don't find BB10 all that appealing I might switch over to Windows Phone.

Well... It's still up in the air for me. I will never own android or Apple. I hate Apple's business practices and how they think they can do whatever they want. And Android... I love how you can customize the OS. There are a ton of things you can do on it... but Google has pissed me off so much lately. Wanting to Watch everything I do and changing their privacy policies to say they will hand over your information if asked by authorities, including your searches... What happened to their old practices. Money Corrupts everyone.
So for me... I'll probably end up with Windows Phone or just go back to a Feature phone. I really enjoyed my LG phones back in the day. And the plus is the battery lasted a week on them haha. - 04-17-2012, 07:18 AM #122
It's funny you mention that. In the past few weeks I've met several people who experienced "smartphone burnout" and went back to feature phones. Two were young people (about 20), the other was around my age (58). The reasons they gave were diverse: tired of paying for the data plan, feeling like the phone was more a distraction than a help, feeling like they had to "check things" all the time.
Well, three people isn't a trend, but it's an interesting coincidence.
As for me, I already have a WP phone. It's not everything I want, but I'm hanging onto it.
Sometimes I think I should just sell the BB and the Radar and get the Samsung Galaxy Blaze, which is about the right size for me, has a good strong battery, and has the exact apps that I want. For example, WP has Kindle, but like the BB Kindle app, it doesn't do highlighting or notes; the Android app does. I've never been that keen on the Android experience but I'm sure I could get used to it. But for some reason I don't do it. - 04-17-2012, 07:25 AM #123
I have dipped my toe already by getting the Galaxy Note as a mini-tablet and so it would be android in a heartbeat... its the widgets

To be honest, they offer expensive but good hardware. I would definately switch to an iPhone, but never to Android. I love the way iOS behaves, it's so smooth and you get like every app you want...Well... It's still up in the air for me. I will never own android or Apple. I hate Apple's business practices and how they think they can do whatever they want. - 04-17-2012, 03:25 PM #125
So to further add to my diatribe ...
I'm having lunch yesterday with a close friend who used to be a crackhead but is now himself a die-hard iPhan. His wife and two kids all have Androids. He thinks I'm nuts for not only staying with BlackBerry, but for buying my last one with cash out of contract, and he's pretty sure RIM will soon be a thing of the past. My only answer to that is, RIM isn't a thing of the past yet, and the phone they make today is the one I like best out of everything else available.
The guy is also a gadget freak who has to have the latest and greatest in anything techie. Despite that, he absolutely loathes Android, thanks to the horrible experiences he's had with all three of them in his house. Now in all fairness, I have to qualify this by pointing out that this is the guy who convinced me to buy the Treo 750 (the one powered by WinMo), which turned out to be the all-time most hated phone I've ever owned. He has since come to pretty much the same conclusion, but I cannot forget that his first impressions of the device missed the mark by a parsec or two. Nonetheless, his reasons for disliking Android are completely different from my reasons for disliking Android. But recalling the failed Treo experiment, he's also giving me one more reason for never owning an iPhone.
So here's hoping if RIM goes tits-up, that somebody somewhere makes a Windows Phone with a half way decent physical keyboard and reliable messaging. Because my choices will be abysmally small.
