Is the Z10 able to be updated to the latest version of 10.2.1?

I may be switching to a Z10 from a Q10 because my Q10 is starting to double type and it's annoying.

As far as official OS it depends on your carrier bit I believe most are on 10.2.1

Yes. I see you're on Bell. IIRC the official Bell OS for Z10 is 10.2.1.2141. I think it's the same version as you would have on your Q10, right?

Anyway, yes you can easily update a Z10 to either your carrier's 10.2.1 release, or to any other 10.2.1 release using the free desktop app, Sachesi.

Have you considered a Z30? I would highly recommend one over a Z10. Going from a Q10 to a Z10, you will be losing a lot of battery life.

I will tell you from a former hardcore hardware keyboard lover, the touchscreen typing on the Z devices is very cool. Now I actually wouldn't go back! Swiping back across the keyboard to delete words is just plain awesome. And of course there's the extra screen real estate when the keyboard isn't onscreen, plus many more compatible apps & games.

Nope you can get 10.2.1 on the Z10 and there's actually a 10.3 leak only for the Z10 as well so you shouldn't be worried about upgrades

I agree with the above poster that a Z30 is amazing I went from a Z10 to the 30 and I love it

No it can! It won't have FM radio available after updating the OS like other BB10 devices do, but otherwise it absolutely runs 10.2.1.

I have been considering the z30 as well! But I don't know if I want a 5 inch display. The z10 looks awesome and is my ideal dimensions as well. I'm not exactly sure on what to do.
