This is one of the things I am most excited about - Cisco (a company I respect) acquiring the BES (BYOD, secure messaging) and BIS components (which alongside some of the handsets are the bits about BlackBerry I like most). It would be extremely cool if Cisco continued to issue handsets that were like the current Bolds. But I am concerned about Cisco continuing to support OS 5 - 7.x handsets that rely on BIS for crucial functions. Do you think they would continue to support us?

Cisco acquiring anything BlackBerry is a fantasy and whether they'd support the current lineup of BlackBerry services is pure speculation.

Although any buyer should provide warranty support for the next year.

I am assuming you've read the frontpage articles on CrackBerry today so my question to you is, what part of BlackBerry do you think Cisco are in talks to buy?
