i really dislike when misinformed people blog.....
I came across this. So much of his information is completely inaccurate. The worst part is, he will never write a retraction when he is shown to be flat out wrong.

that's one of the dumbest articles I have ever read
is he really asking why rim is offering help or tutorials for their products and after his long thinking process his result is, that the upgrade must be horrible??
maybe he should write more article like this
"Why is samsung delivering a manual with my new TV -oh no, it must be horrible to use it"
"There is a manual for my new Lego Toys...oh no it must be impossible to play with it"...Alcatel One Touch Easy -> Motorola V50 -> Samsung SGH-V200 -> Samsung SGH-P400 -> Motorola Razr V3 -> Nokia E65 -> BlackBerry Curve 8900 -> BlackBerry Torch 9800 -> BlackBerry Z10 - 12-06-2012, 05:08 AM #3
Don't stress people like Mr. Hyphenated last name. This is what journalism has come to when these people cannot find real jobs they make stuff up and blog for an unknown publication.

I wouldn't go that far as to call it "journalism" - it's a blogger without detailed knowledge - writing about things he assumes - and forgetting that he is an a house of glass throwing stones.
It saddens me to see that we in 2012 still look at these things the same way as religion, where some even try to monetize from broadcasting their nonsense - in the end - all they want - is not to tell any story - but to get money from Your pocket - into their own.
But your point about jobless bloggers is a interesting point; 10 years ago these people would be hidden away somewhere - until they grow up. - 12-06-2012, 07:45 AM #7
We live in a world where information is in abundance and at our fingertips at all times. It does not mean it is all correct. It is up to us to sift through it and determine what is worth holding on to. I don't think we should start constricting these types of articles, they will simply fade away as people realize there is no data to back them up. Do they hurt RIM? I would think minimally. If BB10 is a success, you won't see them any more.

Really flawed analysis on the author's part. Both early comments on the article's page are great - EDUCATED responses though at least. Hopefully most people scroll down to read those

I'm sitting in front of our BES server right now. I would like to confirm that this guy has no idea what he's talking about.

So what in there is misinformation?
He's saying BB10 uses a new server infrastructure (BES10 he's calling it), that will control BB10 & android devices. If you throw current BB7 devices into the mix you'll have to also run BES5. Is this not correct? That seems to be double the infrastructure if true. So yeah, that could be a bit of a pain.
It's nice that RIM will offer free license upgrades thru 2013 but how many corporations will jump on BB10 immediately? What percentage will decide to wait/test before investing in a full rollout and miss that upgrade timeframe? Yeah, that could be a pain.
I can certainly see some major corporations looking at other platforms if they're jumping thru hoops anyway. Some will stick with the BB and others will take the opportunity to jump ship.
If his information is wrong perhaps someone could post the correct information. - 12-06-2012, 11:55 AM #14
He said that Mobile Fusion is BES 10, and that rather than build it themselves like they've done in the past, they simply bought it from someone else (QNX? wtf?) and slapped it on top of their existing systems.
QNX does not run BES 10. Mobile Fusion is not BES 10. BES 10 was not a security solution purchased from someone else to manage BlackBerry 10 devices.
The article is an absolute train wreck of gaping abysses of misinformation. Spewing bull$hitRemember to RTFM. - 12-06-2012, 11:56 AM #15
If this guy read ONE blog post on the BlackBerry for business blog, he would surely have to remove this article.

Read the comments under the blog article Xander, it explains some of the misconceptions and ignorance on the part of the author.

Maybe the wifi to his mother's basement where he lives should not be as strong. That way he would not be able to "educate" as many people.

I read the article again from super business booger I mean blogger Max hyphenated last name and I must admit my mistake about journalism. Lindstrom pointed this out to me and I now know a blogger has no journalism credentials or common freaking sense. So my apologies to those in journalism who write the useless uninformed crap I read in magazines and see on the news. Bloggers are just those who make stuff up and want the masses to follow them them. So F@$k you Max.

Just another dumb article that trolls will feed on and quote in every forum... Can't blame the author though as he is misinformed. He should be educated first before he writes.
