I am so torn! I currently had the pink pearl and I love it. I have it all set just the way that I like it. However, I have been very tempted to upgrade to the curve. Should I wait awhile until some of the new verizon phones are released or should I just go get the dang curve?? I feel sorry for my pearl, it has been so good to me!!

Stay with the Pearl. Aside from the 1/2 inch difference in screen width
there is nothing that separates the two devices. The 8330 does
have 32mb more memory though. 96mb as opposed to 64mb for the Pearl.

I know. A lot of folks will chime in about the full qwerty k/board
but to be perfectly with you, and as someone who actually owns
both a Pearl and a Curve, the Pearl's k/board is far and away
superior to the one on the Curve.

Most of the advice you get from here on out will be from those
who have only had a Curve, or a passing encounter with the
Pearl. Bear that in mind. Good luck, you can't go wrong whatever
    BB you choose.

Go test drive all the devices. The curve has always been a rock solid device, but you're the one that will have to be satisfied with your decision once you're locked into a contract.

Go check the other devices in the other carriers stores. You might find something you prefer even more than the Curve.

Don't just let someone here sway your choice by the device they picked. Go find the one "you" will be happy with over the next 2 years of contract agreement. Good Luck!

Thank you so much! I feel like I am "missing out" by not having the Curve. I am very happy with the suretype and love my pearl. Maybe I should just stick with it and keep trying out the phones in the store from time to time. Thank you!

when i had my pearl 8130 i loved the suretype that it had the only reason that i got the curve 8330 was for the more memory. if i were you i would look at the new models that are out or wait for the phones that are in the pipe line that will be out very soon.

Good way to approach this. You may eventually find the device that fits you
better than the Pearl, but trust me, you are in NO WAY handicapped by having
a Pearl as opposed to any other BB. For my out of office days, where I am
sending tons of email and BBM to staff, the Pearl is my preference. Hands down,
for no other reasons but the ease of use, portability and the keyboard.
