    Ok I have a question, let's see if I can explain it.
    Ok on my old phones like the voyager and dare etc.. When I would send a text message u could write 160 characters and keep going but on the blackberry it stops at 160 is there anyway to make it keep writing?? Help!!! Oh and does anyone know what sms stands for??

    No, there is not. The limit is 160.

    You'll have to send an Email, Blackberry Messenger, multiple texts or compose an MMS without the picture.

    SMS=SHORT MESSEGE SERVICE

    Keyword is short

    Compose your message as an MMS if you need longer than 160 characters, as MMS supports up to 1000. The receiving person will be charged accordingly however.

    Answer: no

    You need to send either MMS (if you have it) or email the message.

    This 160 character limit is carrier based. Some carriers allow longer messages. I am with T-Mobile UK and can write a message up to 960 characters long which it splits into messages of 160 characters each and then rejoins them at the recipients end.

    Just use bb messanger. If your friends don't have a bb, this is the perfect time to pull them into the addiction.
