my mum purchased the torch 9860 on plan but she wanted my blackberry(which is unlocked from at@t and using it in australia) so we switched when she puts her sim in my phone it works but when i put my blackberry sim in hers IT SAYS SOS sim not detected 3.
does anybody know what the problem can be only her number works on her my number doesnt work in hers

Are you sure it is unlocked?

Check to see if it is unlocked:

Options - Device - Advanced - SIM CARD

type mepd

and see what it says beside network or service provider.

It doesn't work because the phones have different carrier specific HSDPA radios. Yours is ATT 850-1900-2100. Hers will be something different from Australia.

You're kidding me. The Australia and ATT bands are the same?
