I have the first Storm with Verizon. I am running Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. The system does not recognize the Blackberry at all. To make matters worse somehow after plugging in the Storm the phone itself says it needs the OS reloaded.
So where do I find a driver for this Storm? Windows update could not find one. I have installed the latest Desktop software from RIM.
I haven't tried with Windows 7, but a number of other people have.
I ran a search, click on the search link above, then select advanced search ( or just go directly to the advanced search page http://forums.crackberry.com/search.php ) type in windows in the keyword field, just under that change the selection from Search Entire Posts to Search Titles Only, and then in the list of forums select Blackberry Storm 9530/9500, then click Search Now button.
Should turn up a number of Storm on Windows 7 threads, hopefully some of the tips in those will help.
