I'm a long time TMO customer (before there even was a TMO) and I just upgraded my 8320 and got my wife her first BB, both 9700's. They offered me buy one get one, so the price for 2 9700's with rebates comes out to $97.99 + taxes and shipping.
Very nice, you'll love it. About 3 months ago my dad, sister, and I upgraded from 8310's to 9700s, got them down to about $300 for 3 (and I was willing to pay full price for it!). Absolutely love the phone, no doubt you will also
I still don't understand how the *&%! this happened, but I was having some trouble with my out-of-warranty 8900. Needed the OS reloaded and it would not take it. Called TMO, they transferred me to RIM, then to RIM Level II support. Nothing worked. Called TMO and complained and they offered me a free replacement. She told me they didn't sell the 8900 anymore, so I could chose whichever model I wanted (although she was pushing that new 8520 curve) Gave me the 9700 for free. Even sent it express. Also for free. They told me I would have to upgrade my legacy data plan from the 19 a month I was paying to 25 a month. I decided to let that slide.
I managed to fix the 8900, using a trick I read here. Gave it to my daughter.
Yea definitely. I know when the white bold was launched prices were $100 after rebate on the tmo website. That was only a few days ago so yea...Does TMobile have a 30 day guarantee like the big red does?
I've been lurking these forums for a while and figured I should join. Just upgraded from a Curve 8310 (without internet) to a Bold 9700 last week. I love it! I went for a refurb, which basically looked brand new) for $30. I'm very happy with it.
