I got the unlock code for my bb pearl 8110 today straight from at&t n it won't work. I go thru the proper steps hold down the proper key and type the proper MPED & MPED2 & NOTHING! No prompts or anything. I dunno why. I am sad : (~

I called n they walked me thru it- take it to an at&t store was the final result problem is I live 2 hrs from the closeat store. Its not the code itself. I never get the chance to enter it. It just stays the same screen with no prompts.

First: It is MEPD not MPED.
For the Pearl because of Suretype you have to press "P" twice

The next thing is to type M E PP 2 and then enter the code.

I watched a video on you tube.. Its MEPPD alt 2 the 2nd time n MEPD the 1st. I'm fairly sure I'm doing it right the screen is just not responding... I'm confuzeled.

No I haven't because the first step is to put the sim in. If the Sim was out it wouldn't work either.

You claim you watched the video I linked you to, but then you directly contradict one of the first things they tell you in the vid. Do you want our help or not?

Some Pearls will not accept lock codes with the SIM card installed. Try taking it out and get back to us.

Typing in the MEPD the firat time brings up this screen. After typing in MEPPD2 still nothing happens. I thanks everyone for their time & support on this issue. Once I get to Tx I guess I'll have to track down the nearest AT&T store. Once again- thanks.
