    I was scanning another technology forum where I saw that Blackberry BIS will finally be getting HTML email on the 28th???

    GREAT if this is an accurate rumor!! I didnt expect them to update to 2.5 so soon. I wonder if this means you will still need OS 4.5 in order to have it tho...hmm

    According to RIM itself "This feature requires BlackBerry Device Software 4.5."

    so if you are on CDMA (like myself) looks like it's still gonna be awhile.

    If you read the BIS 2.5 article, you'll see that most of the stuff in there requires the handset to be running 4.5.


    Also, BIS is installed on your carriers' host computers so it may be a while before we are all viewing native HTML emails - unfortunately.

    Can't wait to see if this really does add native HTML email. I'm running OS v4.5.0.42 the last couple of days without any major issues yet.
