If you have OS 4.5 you will be available to view PDF files. There's also 3rd party apps available.

The trick is, emailing them to yourself as attachments. The email viewer allows you to view PDF attachments.

WTH! I just tried to send a test PDF file to my email, but this is what I got when I opened the message.
Never mind, I got it. But for some reason sending it to .tmomail doesn't work.
Have a look at BeamBerry - View, Print, Store BlackBerry e-mail attachments and see if this will do what you want. It works fine for me but it does cost $49 - I think. There's a free trial period too.
