I did not see this in archives so pls forgive if I missed it.

I'm looking at used Curves and have read that there can be issues if the previous owner had one that was set up on BES and not removed/cleared. In addition to asking a previous owner, is there a way to tell by looking at the phones themselves if they have been previously set up on BES / IT Policies?

Is there a way to tell if a used BB already has a PIN activated with another account by looking at the phone?

If you go to options > security settings > general settings there
will be 2 things to look for.
1) Is there a red lock by password enabled/disabled
2) At the bottom, if anything is listed in Services there is an IT
Policy still on the device.

If either are present there is probably an IT Policy as a
result of BES or BlackBerry Unite!

For PIN activation call the carrier and ask if the PIN and IMEI
are clear.
