    I have the Google Maps app loaded and would like to set it as the default map service so it launches when I select "View Home/Work Map" from a contact. But, when I go to "Options -> Advanced Options -> Maps" to set the default service my only choice is BB Maps. What's missing?

    9630 (Tour) / Verizon / Google Maps v3.0.2 / BB OS v4.7.1.40

    Same here... tried battery pull and that didnt change/update anything.

    Unfortunately, as smart of a phone as the Blackberry is, you cannot set non-BB apps as the default. Therefore, while it would be ideal to use Google Maps as the default, it is not possible. Sorry

    Duh. My bad. It's there but not where I expected it. When you have a contact selected in the contact list or when you are viewing a contact, press the menu button and the topmost option on the menu is "Show on Google Maps". If you select "View Home/Work Map" it still launches BB Maps.
