I downloaded googlemail onto my BB8820 and the icon sits there but when I click on it it states that it is loading but never does. Have I done something wrong?
If I go to google site and click on mail from there I find that I have mail sat there. Is it tricky to get it to push straight through to my phone whenever I am within wifi range?
I have been using it since it was still in its beta stages, and I love it. I can't use anything else. It has a fantastic spam blocker, and it doesn't block anything important 98% of the time. It has an easy to use interface, and I am sure just about anybody can use it with ease.

So why does nothing happen when I click on the Gmail icon on my BB? I have to go to the browser and access Googlemail from there.
I am not on a BB data contract. Would that make a difference? I connect via Wifi
completely noob question. have had my curve now for the last 30 hours, and its been lots of fun. have my personal gmail account paired with my bb via BIS, and i'm wondering... whenever i receive and read email over my curve, it still shows as unread on my gmail inbox on my computer. any fix to this?
My only complaint about Gmail? That I didn't sign up for it as my primary address way back in the day. Now I have an awesome hotmail address and a less than catchy Gmail address. My name was taken by the time I got around to this whole "gmail fad" thing. (LOL) Oh well.
Googlemail does work well.
Why do I get a copy of my sent emails bounced back at me though. About a minute after sending I get my sent email come into my inbox. My original email has been sent and received though.
I've had gmail since it was invite only a few years ago and have LOVED it ever since. Its worked great with my 8703e my 8130 and my 8330. Never had a problem.

I've got to agree with the majority here; I've had a Gmail account since the early days when it was invite only and I have had no troubles at all. It provides lots of storage for those "old" emails and its search function works great.
Spam filtering, labeling, IMAP, and constant improvements make it a winner !!
