I've been trying to find some studies on how much BB10 users spend on Applications, but to no avail I'm just going to try the forums.

I myself have about $150 on apps, which is properly higher than most users but some of them were quite expensive.

Not knocking those that need all those apps. I have a 360 for the games I purchase. I have maybe 2 free games on my phone that I rarely play. I communicate with my Z10 (text, email and phone). Other than that, I surf the web when I have time to kill. Just can't see purchasing an app I'm not going to use or that I can get free and the free version do exactly what I need it to do without all the bells and whistles.

Ya fair enough, I admit I wasted some money on a few apps, but I really put my Z10 through it paces.

I'm only asking because they say that people who own a blackberry often have a higher salary than iPhone and Android users, and have more money to spend on apps.

The most I have spend is $1 for Whatsapp on iPhone and I still regret it. I don't pay for things that shouldn't be charged for. I don't see myself spending any money on apps ever either.

Movies? I buy Blu-ray with the best quality in everyway, plus, it's physical so I actually own it and can do whatever I want with it, they cost less, have more sales and deals, and I can legally make any type of backup I want of it, which includes, physical/disk, memory card/USB, digital, cloud, etc. anyway so there's no point of buying digital.

Music? I have made digital backups of all my songs.

    And yeah.

I have to be closing in on $150 as well. My most expensive app was c-calcpro for $9.99. It was expensive but I do a lot of carpentry. Saves a lot of mistakes when you can actually just punch in the feet and inches and get a result in feet and inches.

I've probably spent at least $150 on music and movies as well.

General rule is, if I want it and it's less than $5, I buy it. Costs less than a Venti Latte at Starbucks that is gone in 20 minutes.

about 10 total, i mainly bought themes on the old blackberries and decent paid apps with extra functionality over the free demos.

on android ive paid around 20-30, my most expensive was a launcher for 10 which was really worth it.

i dont like to buy apps unless i absolutely have to (i dont sideload them either), because it makes it harder to switch platforms in the future

For me this really depends on the app. There were apps that I purchased for legacy devices that were north of $30 and were worth every penny as I found them to be immensely useful from a professional standpoint. For general use or entertainment purposes I generally will not spend more than $5 for a single app. This is kind of a non issue for me currently as the apps I need for my professional life are not available for the current line up of BlackBerry.
