I'm having a discussion with some people on other message boards about what the average smartphone user uses in regards to data. That, and I'm just curious!

Please answer as truthfully as possible!!

Please list the data usage you use, WITHOUT TETHERING. Thanks!!

I average about 850mb a month, though I've peaked at 1.5gb.

I usually tether occasionally, and cant really distinguish that data usage towards my total. But I average anywhere between 1GB-1.5GB a month with the most being over 2GB one month. Like this month I might not even hit my average since I'm at about 550mb with 6 days left in my cycle.

You can log into your account manager, and it should be able to tell you. But it may vary with certain carriers.

I use about 1 GB a month in data on my 8330 curve... When the Tour 2 comes out I am really going to have to see what it goes up to.

In Canada we don't really get offered unlimited except my WIND Mobile so I pay $25 a month for 500mb and I use it pretty heavily for browsing but the browser is so slow how can people use over 1gb without tethering? Do you guys have apps that use that much data? Other then streaming apps like Slaker Radio I don't know what would use large amounts of data.

I do not tether, but I stream Slacker around 2-3 hrs./day. I usually use around 1.5-2 GB of data/month.

I rarely stream my radio app, but my usage typically runs 1 gig on light months to 2 gig on heavy ones now. I download quite a few things, but I surf and use images heavily. Since my Curve is my primary computer on the road, it is very well used. The keyboard looks it. I need a new one.

Hard telling for me. On my widdle Pearl, I was averaging about 500,000KB. When I switched to the Jav, with Wi-Fi at home, and using the T-Mo APN to get UMA on at&t, around 700,000KB. Now I'm on my Onyx, and it will be higher since I'll only have at&t data, buit the Wi-Fi will always make measuring difficult. A lot, that much I know.

Holy crap. I considered myself a heavy user. I'm on my bb all the time and I only use around 500000kb per month. My data usage doesn't even compare to you guys.

This Storm2 is my first BlackBerry and for the 3 weeks I've had it I have used 2.5G of data. I presume most if it from streaming Slacker as I dont get fm radio reception at work.
