how are they a monopoly? Pretty sure there are other browsers than chrome, other OS besides android, more than google for a search engine, a map provider and more than just gmail for mail. Sorry but they are far from a monopoly.
Our focus is on the product it sells which is your data. And if you look at the numbers, Google is a data monopolist and has negligible competition in that space.

"Selling data" is being intentionally provocative. Google internally matches its clients with potential customers for a fee - all behind its firewalls, without providing any identifying info to third parties.

I see you're familiar with Google's frontend business.

Google Next, Android, now blackberrys android, Google search etc as we all know are tools and equipments used to drag in bait. They're harvesters not top shelf products. They're tools to drag in bait and we're the bait. So it's funny when people don't understand Google's monopoly. Google has explained this so many times. Problem is a company (blackberry) with a reputation for security has hardened the kernel of this harvester making it impossible to escape being harvested through exploits.

Google harvests to better target their advertising, AND they make awesome products. The data also makes the products better.

I very much understand what they do, and have agreed to the mutually beneficial relationship.

Took a while, but we finally made it to "monopoly".

OP, if you made it all the way to here, I pray you had your Goofoil hat firmly planted on your head. Use your judgement, based on the posts here, and countless other discussions on the Google, found throughout CrackBerry for the last few years. You'll discover they all read about the same.
