Actually Telus has their own towers our west on Alberta and British Columbia. Bell uses the Telus towers our west and Telus uses the Bell towers out east in Canada.

Wow. What's the name of this plan? Is it still available? Unlimited data ?????
    In Canada ?
Outside of the so-called (very small) Wind Zone?

    Please provide more details!

In your country, state, province, district, whatever. How much data would 70 Canadian get you on one of the large carriers.

Canada, Ontario, Scarborough, Fido, $45 gets me only 400 fuxxing mbs
Canada, Ontario, North York, Rogers, $60 gets me 1GB (Family Plan)
Hong Kong, Causeway Bay, PCCW, $39 (Converted from HKD to USD), gets me 10GB

Providers in Canada are ridiculously expensive

Agreed! And they don't offer much by way of data at any price..

That's why I would really enjoy hearing back from this lucky chap above claiming to get "unlimited" data, from Bell..

As far as I know - outside of WIND (which so far has limited geography) there is no such animal in Canada

Well then, I might just have to dust off my solar powered laser beam hot tub time machine & take a trip back to 2008, & see what's up at my local Bell shop... ;P

    Wind Mobile

1GB full speed in USA, unlimited data though so no overages

10GB full speed in CAD, unlimited data no overages

Wind AWAY is a 0.05$/MB if off wind network in Canada (rogers, bell, etc)

Price is 55$/month for my plan

I have not worried about over charges in over a year since ive joined, and ill gladly take that for reduced speed... my most expensive bill has been less than 70$ for unlimited everything in US and CAN

Sigh. The WIND Promised Land. If I lived somewhere Wind was available I would have been a customer long ago. As it is, I've tried all of the majors (all that's available in my part of Canada) and settled on Fido. The data is as bad as any other but the customer service is top drawer, as are international messaging rates (free, unlimited SMS & MMS ). Long distance calling also good. For $44/mo. tax incl

Yes I agree, it is the promised land based on if you live near a tower I agree completely

My friends and family who live out of the Wind zone are also SOL... sadly its not the end all of carrier choice in Canada at the moment

I have a shared plan, Rogers, 8G shared data and unlimited everything else, $100. I have my girl under my plan as an add on for $50 or so extra, sharing the 8G (which is enough for us two), and has the unlimited everything else also.

So I like to think we're each paying $75 for a 4G plan each.

BTW, these are retention plans or whatever they're called now. I've been with them for years and just brought my girl over from Bell.

My plan is $35/month with Wind, and I get 2GB. To get the same with Rogers was close to $80 so after being a 10+ years rogers customer I had to switch.

Two unlimited talk, text, mms and 2.5gb for $70USD or, one unlimited talk, text, mms plus 10Gb and you still have $10USD left over through Cricket.

    So that's $45.31 CDN and $77.68 respectivly.

$39/month, WINDmobile (in canada), 5GB (full speed allotment), then slowed down until billing cycle ends. $50/month, 1GB, 20GB (with premium data addon @ $10), then slowed down until billing cycle ends.

Hahahaha. I'm on cross canada $44, and i'm never changing that plan.

I've still got the Wind holiday miracle plan from a few years back.

$40/month, unlimited calling canada/Us, unlimited global text, unlimited data (throttled after 5gb)

Signal issues aren't very common, but downtown during rush hour, data is pretty much unusable.
