How many of you keep the box when you get a new BlackBerry?
How many people actually keep the box when you get a new BlackBerry, or any piece of technology for that matter? I ALWAYS keep the box for everything really. Not sure why...but it will help out if I want to sell anything. People often look for the box.
So how many keep the box, or throw it away?Check out our blog!: http://conservativecornergroup.blogspot.com/ - 09-09-2012, 08:43 PM #2

The two things I always throw out immediately are the packaging (unnecessary to me) and any case (crap, IMO)

I always keep packaging for my tech stuff, just in case I want to sell it. Gives it that much more resale value with the original packaging.

I keep the boxes in case I resell the phone, but now there's a little "collection" in the corner of my room: My first BlackBerry, the 8220, the 8900, the 9530 and my current 9900. All other boxes have been sold off, along with all the accessories inside the box like the phones.

I too keep my blackberry boxes. I'm hoarding my first 9900 box without the phone as well.

Learnt the hard way to keep the box... bought a Playbook 32 gig from Staples in Canada.... Touch Screen stopped working... Took it back to Staple but was told no box no return... was told to call RIM.. Called RIM told to take it to Staples.. Now have non working Playbook as a paperweight...... lesson learned...

Always keep the box for all stuff that is related to the phone. Also it's nice to sell with the original box.

I hoard the box of every piece of tech I get. I never really consider resale, but the original packaging seems to be the best place to keep track of the included hardware and retired devices.

The best way to resale a phone on the internet is to have the original box. Been doing this for over 10 years.

All reasonably sized boxes go in a drawer until the original devices usefullness is passed. After that they are either sold or disposed of properly. Larger boxes are used as forts and bear caves. Kids love them.

I keep the box for EVERY electronic item I buy

I always keep the box and packaging just in case I have to take it back, but 30 days later it makes a home somewhere and I end up never throwing it away.
But, it helps when moving because I can put everything back in its original packing without worrying about damage.
I could be on box Hoarders lol

I keep them because it's good to always look back on the boxes and see the transition...

Heck, still have the original box for my 1983 Timex Sinclair 2068. We almost never throw out original boxes, especially for electronics.

I keep the box until 1 year has passed. In case of warranty issues or anything else (might sell it after a year).

I have thrown them away before. But I have the boxes for my 9900 and my old 9800.

I keep the box in case I wanna sell it. I kept my box for my Torch 9800 and sold it for 140 and put that money towards my Blackberry Bold 9900 which I only paid like 70 bucks after that sale. I guess I keep the boxes to increase the sell value B-)

I keep the box and put all the original pack-ins I don't use and the receipt in there. When I sell it, it just looks better with everything there.
