Basically if I didn't charge every night, I could manage 2 days.

I like to keep it charged up though. Usually have a good 40-50% of battery life before I charge and use it quite often.

    I am currently on os6 .424.

It varies. Some days I can get two days some days one, but I always throw it on the charger when I pass out at night. It gets me through the day easily (except yesterday it died for some reason, I think excessive Facebook).

For me, it honestly depends on the day of the week. If I have to go to school, I can get maybe 12 hours if all I'm using is the calendar, email, text, and BBM. Before you have a coronary and tell me something is wrong with my phone, please realize that my school is 25 miles from home, and on the Verizon network, not Sprint. I spend an unholy amount of battery in roaming and searching for a signal. My son has health issues, so turning the phone completely off is NOT an option.

If I'm at home (or in my hometown) I'm on the Sprint network and can get about two days out of normal (well, what is normal for me) use.

On an average day I get about 15-18 hrs. A little less if I'm using the gps with Sprint Nav.

I would recommend checking your app refresh settings or check what's running in the background. There's something wrong if that's all you're getting.

I get about 18-24 hrs if I don't charge at all.

Consistently a day and a half on my Torch. I use it quite heavily while on the train, and it's never died before the second day.

is 18-24 hours good enough? I had heard a lot about Blackberry battery life.

My previous phone worked 3 days with one charge. So not very impressed. Or are 'smartphones' battery life measured differently?

I guess I think it is. Smartphones are always using data (how much depends on what apps you have, how much email you get, etc.), so they will be much worse than "dumbphones". This is my first smartphone and I was surprised at first as well. My previous phone could last 4-5 days. I have friends with Android who can't get through a work day without charging. That would drive me crazy.

I put my Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9650/6.0.0.431 in a charging cradle every night. The charge would not typically last for two days. But I have WiFi on (and connected at work) and Bluetooth (not connected) as well. I think having Bluetooth active when not connected might be one of the biggest battery life consumers, followed by WiFi when there's no connection or a weak connection. Undauanted, I leave 'em all on except when traveling and just charge it every night in the cradle. I'm a heavy data user, phone calls not so much.

I was using a samsung star. same 1150 battery. Worked for 3 days minimum. So when my friend said BB had great battery life, i expected almost as much if not more. Think will buy an extra battery for long journeys.

8330 - I charge it every 4 days or so but I only use about 5 mins a day talk time, if that, and maybe 15 mins Web browsing. (where's the plan for light users like me, huh, Best Buy? <- in reference to their new TV ad "a phone and a plan for everyone" or something like that!)

I own a Blackberry repair company and most of the blackberry we work with last on average 24 hours. However we recommend replacing the battery of your blackberry every 8 months. Another thing you should also do is only charging your blackberry FULLY when the battery is completely empty!

    Hope this information helps!

    I own a Torch 9800.

With what I consider extream use, 4-ish hrs on a single conversation, while using other apps and occasionaly surfing/FB while talking ( sometimes I can, sometimes I can't).

4-5 hrs using wifi to surf constantly.

Minimal use, no wifi, a short convo or two, well over a day.

Times are very rough best gestamets. I'm very happy with the battery life.
