Tonight I was updating BlackBerry Link and decided to open my BlackBerry Backups Folder on the computer.

I had 11 backups for my Q10 alone going back to September 27th taking up a whopping 19 gigs on my mac.

My question is how far back and for how long do you keep your backups?

I've since deleted all but my last 3 backups that take up now 5.58 gigs.

For me I don't have any set rule. Though I tend to keep all my backups of my primary device (though with every new phone the sizes do get bigger)
On my old devices (regardless of whether I still use them or not) I keep my first & last backup.....until I no longer own the phone, after that they are all gone.

Each one of mine averaged around 2.5 to 3 gb. Think I'll do once a week four times a month from here on out.
Then at the end of the month delete that prior months worth.

I still do what I have done since my first BlackBerry (Pearl) which is keep the last two backups.

Now to check in Time Machine to see how many are saved there.

I haven't deleted any. I never used to back stuff up with previous phones cause I never really was tech savvy or even cared really. Now I backup before every software update so the total iis about 5-8
