I had a few apps like realtone, access shop, etc. that I could not remove only hide. Well I found a way to get rid of them for good so I help this helps someone.

    Options>advanced options>service book

In there you can locate those applications that just open your browser and want to delete. next to the name it should say [browser config]

WARNING! make sure you don't delete stuff you need like e-mail set up.

I'm pretty sure they're going to come back when you reboot the phone and the phone connects to the net. (I could be wrong though) I've tried this with multiple icons on my Storm. They were bothering the heck out of me. Seemed like the best solution was just to hide them.

Yeah, I've done that, too. They will come back when you do a battery pull.

I resent the service books and they came back. This was posted here a few days ago somewhere too.

It was worth a try! Haha. I wish there was a way that easy to get rid of them forgood instead of just hiding them.

RIM, ya reading this? Fix it please lol.

I believe you can do it if you go into the files on your computer but I could be wrong. I thought I read that somewhere here once.

From what I understand its a carrier service book issue. Have you tried to call your carrier and maybe see if they have a workaround to allow removal of those apps?

Hiding is your best option, they keep coming back.
