    On your Curve, hold down the ALT and CAPS buttons and press H.

    Go to Options>About and there should be a number that looks like this 4.xxxx. Except the x's are replaced with numbers

    Also you can hold Alt and type E S C R... and it will bring up a Help Me! screen that will say your App Version (which is your OS)

    She is on a Curve... You are correct for the Pearl, but for her device is is
