I'm thinking about getting a second BlackBerry and just wonder how does one BlackBerry username/account work over multiple devices. Is it like iOS where you can simultaneously be connected on all devices or is it only one at a time? And how does blend figure it out?

It doesn't, really. You need two different BBID's. I say NEED loosely because you CAN set the same BBID up on two different devices, but you'll screw up your BBM eventually if you use it and your apps won't always download as you expect. Easier to just avoid it and not bother.
